Working with Kevin was great! He was very personable & informative. He listened to my ideas & helped me make a good decision. The best thing about Kevin was that he was fair and honest. I would recommend him to everyone with a metal project.

Kevin McQuade, owner of the small business he runs out of his garage, has done two lovely projects for us. One is a trellis that runs across the front of our garage upon which a Japanese wisteria will bloom in spring. The second is a sturdy hand railing on the front porch. He was able to complement other metal work in the front of the house with his designs. He is vigilant to detail and a fast worker. We appreciate his expertise!

Kevin has made us a garden sphere out of metal barrel hoops; a decorative metal scene for our travel magnets and a metal bas relief Seattle cityscape, including a building crane, for our living room wall.

I hired Kevin to craft metal screens for my front yard area to cover an unsightly chain link fence. He listened to my ideas and came up with a beautiful design and plan..and went to work. Not only did they turn out amazing, he crafted them at a very reasonable price, he delivered and then installed them for free. He did not rest until they were perfect. Not only does he have an amazing artistic eye and stellar craftsmanship, he is kind and compassionate and a joy to work with. I would highly recommend Kevin for any project you have that involves crafting metal -- even if you don't quite know what you want, he'll help you come up with a design and won't stop until you are 100% happy

Project 9 Brewery

Kevin has done multiple jobs for us at the brewery and is our go-to guy for jobs that require craftsmanship, creativity, and quality. He does what's asked and more by bringing lots of ideas to help solve complex problems. He takes his time to think through the work but finishes extremely quickly. Looking forward to having him help out with even more of our projects!

Kevin, you did such a fantastic job and put so much time and effort into this project I think that you are terrific and dedicated to your work. You went above and beyond what you needed to do for this job and I want you to know how much I appreciate it. You are a great craftsman and a person that we should all try to emulate. I have great respect for you and am as happy as can be with the job you have done.I will still send in a sterling recommendation for you in my review. Thank you very much for the wonderful handrail that I now have, thanks to you.

Kevin made a beautiful gate that my two big German Shepherds will not be able to break through like they did the original one. He also made a window well to protect the basement window that the puppy kept burying. Both are practical works of art! Kevin is a pleasure to work with and a real metal artist! ReplyLike

ABOUT
I started welding around 2001 after taking a course at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).

I have always been a DIY guy and have built decks & fences, tiled and plumbed bathrooms, and built small sheds. Largely self-taught with MIG, TIG, and stick welding out of my small garage workshop.

In addition to welding I am an avid bread baker and pizzaiolo.
